A nutritious breakfast is especially important for people trying to lose weight, as you will find it easier to manage your weight and stay on track , with a start to the morning that’s high in nutrition.
Build on a healthy, high-fibre cereal with a banana, berries and low-fat milk. This combination provides good fibre, calcium and potassium to give a healthy boost to the most important meal of your day.
This combination of nutrients can delay hunger symptoms and keep you feeling full throughout the day.
Here is one of my favourite breakfast Combinations:
1/2 x Wheat Biscuit. 30 Calories
Source of Fibre, Thiamin, Niacin and Riboflavin.
3 x Tablespoons Rolled Oats 60 Calories
1 x Tablespoon Wheat Germ 30 Calories
1/2 x Banana 50 Calories
2 x Strawberries 10 Calories
1 Cup x Low-Fat Milk (1% fat) 120 Calories
TOTAL CALORIES 300
For females; the calorie allocation for breakfast is 300. This delicious breakfast fits perfectly into our calorie requirements – why not give it a try?
PS: We will have a full breakdown of daily calorie requirements for each meal and snacks at our Healthy Balance – A Weight Management Workshop on 26th March, 2011. See the Events Page within this website for all the details or give us a call on 02-6581 3312.
Hope to see you there! Sue
